Video Submissions

Now accepting art in the forth dimension. Film, documentary, animation. Even GIFs.

Because of a blossoming interest in motion art, we are now accepting video submissions

Video submissions accepted into Broken Ink will be published in our upcoming online portion of the magazine. Filmmakers will also have their works profiled in the print edition of Broken Ink.

Please email your piece to using the subject line Submission: Other. Include your submission attached using the filename TitleOfPiece_ArtistsLastName.extension. For example:

If you cannot send your video by email (eg. it is too large), you may also send a YouTube/Vimeo link, or physically bring a USB drive with your video to the Student Media Office in the SAC.

In order to display your piece in the print edition of Broken Ink, we recommend including one to four images that represent your film. These may be stills from the film (screenshots) or promotional art (posters), but they should represent your film as best as possible. Please attach your stills in .tif or .jpg format, using the filename TitleOfPiece_Thumb.tif. For example:


Please include the following information attached in a Microsoft Word document (.doc, .docx), and title the file Info_LastName.doc.

†For video submissions, we recommend including an artist statement that will be included in the magazine to introduce your piece. If you are not sure how to write an artist statement, contact us for assistance.
