2018 ACP/CMA Convention in Louisville

Our EIC Haley Dixon, along with Editors Bailey Mullins and Bonnie Watson, traveled to Louisville to represent Broken Ink at the National Media Conference. Broken Ink traveled with Pacer Times, another wonderful organization on our campus, for a three-day event held at the famous Galt House Hotel. Both groups attended seminars and events to gain more information to be used here for our magazine. They also attended critiques and will have even more ideas to make the next issue better than the last! After the events, the three enjoyed getting along with Pacer Times representatives at Fourth Street Live, a block with restaurants, a few shops, and great photo opportunities. If you are interested in seminars that were attended, please email Web Editor Bonnie Watson. We have recordings of the seminars and are happy to share the knowledge that was gained.

Broken Ink was awarded the first place pinnacle award for the Four-Year Literary Magazine category, which included literary magazines nation-wide. They also received seventh place in the Best of Show category for literary magazines.
